The Funimation site appears to have only subs. YTV is running the dubs. Although I've only been watching it because it's new anime on YTV. I can't say I'll continue with it through.

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but Funimation has subtitled episodes of Pretty Cure on their video website ... haven't watched any as yet, but noticed they were available.

Prety Cure needs a weekday

Prety Cure needs a weekday run if they hope to get through all the episodes for all the series. There's over 140 episodes just for the first three series and I believe they're still making them.

Yeah they dropped all of the regular Friday timeslots for the summer. The early timeslot was good because it was kids were up etting ready for school, but now kids are sleeping in. Notice their entire weekday lineup has been changed. Pretty cure with a weekday run may show it has been a success.

First off, It's nice to see that Toronto anime dubbing is not dead!

Honoka=Hannah.....I don't have a problem with that.

As long as try to stick to the original story as much as possible, I'll be happy and if they can the original themes, that would rock.

This way they can get some new fans to awaken them to anime like Sailor Moon did back in the day.

Now if there's a Godly person programming at the Y, They'll shunt Blue Dragon over to Crunch and put Pretty cure at 8pm on Bionix and shift Naruto to 8:30pm but that's just my dream.

Having it on BFF? Not a bad idea...Until "The Next Star" comes along and swallows up the whole time slot and Pretty Cure is screwed over.

As for The Zone....enhhhhh that's a strike!

and for the love of OTAKUS, I pray that the Y actually promos it. but In the event they won't, We have got to get the word out and give Pretty Cure a chance to spread.

We can't depend on YTV's promo dept on this one because this might be our last chance. and I for one is going to
do my part. Creative people, let's get to work!

I for one is going to give Precure a chance because it's from Toei and NOT from 4kids.

or if they move the program without warning or announcement and don't bother to post the date and time the show is being moved to like they did with Escaflowne, Gundam wing, Zoids, etc..

I'm not really concerned with when they play it because if people want to see it bad enough, they will. I myself set video tapes to record shows that are on ungodly hours at least twice a week.

The only thing I'm extremely concerned about is whether they will play the series in it's entirety or not. It's happened at least twice before when YTV inexplicably removed shows that I was enjoying and well invested in. The removal of MAR and Case Closed has left me bitter and very slow to trust anything or anyone ever since then. Perhaps I have stable grounds to sue for emotional trauma...

Anyways, I would just prefer to show the program, no matter what or how good it is, in its entirety.

YTV needs a weekday anime to get people interested again. Running the show once a week isn't going to do it. With the sequel series, Pretty Cure would be about 96 episodes long, and there's a new series coming out next year, so they could try it with this show.

YTV will be airing the hit magical girl series Pretty Cure in early 2009.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad about it. Hopefully it was not localized as you could guess in this article.

If I can have uncut DVD's I will be happy.

EDIT: I think this is fantastic news. Even if it does wind up being localized a little bit, it's a great program to be run for younger audiences in earlier hours. Almost brings things full circle with Sailor Moon's initial success. - Pep
